What challenges do you face as an artist?
The challenges I face as an artist is being different & standing out in the crowd..  there are so many rappers & music artist that you have to push to be different.. you have to fight for originality because there are so many copies & fakes ..
Even down to the company you keep … you have to be alert on who’s there to build & who’s there to take.
I find that the best way to avoid drama and negative energy is to just keep positive vibes around me & try to stay positive.
What makes you different from other artists?
What makes me different from other artist..
I’m different because I strive to get my listeners to feel what I felt in a song.
I want people to relate to my story… when I’m singing my lyrics or rapping a verse .. I put feeling in my music , not just words ..
Its like when you were a kid and grandma put her foot in that sweat potato pie … same concept ..
I’m different because I put my foot in my music .. I try and make sure you feel me or felt how I was feeling. Its always a dope feeling when someone says .. I felt that or you had me feeling like this .. because that’s how I felt when i wrote the song … its a great way to connect.
What advice would you give to other artists on the same path as you?
you only have one life and you have to live it … you cant settle for less than greatness .. you have to dream big and set goals and just stay focused on success.. & always be you .
Who are your top Inspirations?
Jill Scott , Queen Latifah, Lauren Hill , Erykah Badu, Kendrick Lamar .

Exclusive New Music + Dez Hi Def!

Dropping exclusively on the site for the first time ever, multi-talented artist Dez Hi Def debuts ‘Jehovah’ featuring Mikeala. Dez Hi Def always provides fire tracks with dope beats to match, and great word play in his lyrics. Check it out officially on his Sound Cloud:

New Music Alert + K-Prez

As a fan of K-Prez’s music, this track is no different from his catalogue of dope songs. The beat on ‘Need It All’ feat. Low adds to the song’s motivating lyrics. Being someone that gets up for their 9-5, or to hustle, this song is the perfect soundtrack to their daily routine. Check it out.

“On a mission to get it I need it all.”

New Music Alert + Metafore Manson

If you’ve been sleeping on Metafore Manson, it’s definitely time to wake up. He has a new track called ‘Coolin’, and it’s very lit. The song is definitely  a message to doubters and people still snoozing on the Jersey native. Metafore Manson keeps his fan base strong with his dope tracks and humbleness, in his eyes everyone can win. Check out the new track below.

New Music Monday + Dice Money

Dice Money has released his remix to LockJaw and it’s truly one of the hottest I’ve heard in a while. The rapper dropped a few other new tracks on his Sound Cloud, definitely check them out along with visuals to match. Dice Money is by far one of the hardest working in Jersey right now.

“If it ain’t ’bout no money, fuck what the question was.”

New Music Monday + Alvie The Skywalker

As one of my personal favorites, Alvie is definitely cut from a different cloth. Not only does he give music that listeners can relate to, but he makes music that is personal. A fun fact about Alvie is his artistic ability as well, he is responsible for his newest album’s artwork.

Lowkey features  Kärma and Lilly Black, and is truly a significant track. The song dropped at midnight and will give you a taste of what’s in store on the 29th. For music fans that have an organic ear, DeAndre Grover is on the saxophone and Kyle Jackson is on guitar.  If you haven’t discovered what Alvie is about, definitely do so with his new song Lowkey.
