In the world of beauty, the competition is intense. Companies are all fighting to be on top with competitive prices and quality, leaving consumers with a tough decision on where to purchase from. Tiffany and Uche are not only sisters but business partners and the creators of Coda Hair. The sisters plan to grow, expand and make Coda a household name available all over.
Q. When did you begin your business?
Coda Hair is a partnership between my sister and I. We started planning during the summer of 2015 but we officially launched on September 11th, making Coda about 7 months old.
Q. What challenges do you face?
The challenges that we mainly face is pretty much what any new company faces; learning your market, finding the right strategy but mainly with being a partnership, compromise, although we always end up doing so in the end.
Q.What are your goals for the next year?
In the next year, our goals are to expand, making Coda Hair more of a house name. Hopefully seeing Coda Hair in more salons. We plan on offering more hair textures in our collections to compare to the spectrum of hair textures we have as women.
Q. What advice do you give women on a similar path as you?
To every woman on the similar path as me, my advice to you is to never give up and always believe in yourself. Always look for validation within yourself before you do from anyone else, because if you think it’s okay, 99.9% you’re right. Follow your heart and your dreams and seriously, don’t give up, no matter how hard it gets.
